THE Brookvale Police Neighbourhood Panel meeting: Brings the police and community representatives together to review local crime statistics and influence priorities for local officers.
Last week’s meeting, held at BCoT, discussed anti-social behaviour, drug-related issues, criminal damage to vehicles and nuisance from cold callers.
Agreed actions include rebooting an existing “No Cold Calling Zone”, giving residents advice on how to deal with doorstep callers and encouraging residents to report incidents that may involve drugs.
The police’s next public surgery in the area is from 7pm to 9pm on Thursday, May 15, at the Wessex Christian Fellowship Church, in Wessex Road, Kings Furlong.
QUIZ Evening: Kings Furlong Junior School Parent Teacher Association is holding a Quiz Evening from 6pm to 8pm on Friday, May 9. Tickets are just £2 per adult.
GOOD luck: For those taking GCSE exams at Cranbourne Business and Enterprise College and Year 6 SATs at Kings Furlong Junior School.
