FUNDRAISING this weekend: On Saturday, Basingstoke Lions Club will host The Heritage Orchestra joined by Ellisfield’s Theresa Webb and other singers to raise money for their community projects.

Music and songs will take the audience on a tour of The British Isles. Tickets are £12 from Maurice Hockley on 01256 421867, or John Lincoln on 01256 325280. Doors open 7.15pm for a 7.45pm start.

BANK Holiday Monday Walk: All welcome to head “Off the Beaten Track” and enjoy a walk through hidden pathways through Portsmouth Estate not normally open to the general public, to raise money for St Martin’s and St Andrew’s churches. There will be plenty of parking at Home Farm Barn, Farleigh, from 10am.

A 5k walk on private land (by kind permission of the Earl and Countess of Portsmouth and Viscount Lymington).
