ANYONE for tennis? Come along to the Rotherwick Tennis Club’s AGM this Saturday, at noon, at the sports pavilion.
A friendly and informal club, membership provides the use of the exceedingly competitively priced court located in the corner of the playing fields.
You can admire its extremely tidy and match-ready state, as members are meeting there at 11am for the annual spring clean. For further information on joining, please ring our membership secretary, Quentin Sharp, on 762912.
WE SHALL remember them: Ever looked at the names on the Rotherwick War Memorial and wondered who they were, where they lived, and how or why they didn’t come home?
Local historian Andy Cressell often thought the same thing and has now begun to research the lives of the men listed with the aim of producing a short booklet that will tell visitors something about each of these brave villagers whose spaces we now fill. Contact him on 01256 761698 or email andy@acaircon.co.uk if you can help him with any information.
