BROOKVALE Community Association meeting: The regular monthly committee meeting takes place at the village hall at 7.30pm on Thursday, April 3. On Tuesday, April 8, the same organisation’s development sub-committee meets in the hall, also at 7.30pm.

With work progressing well on the extension of the hall, this is an exciting time to be involved with the community association, which is active in providing a base for local voluntary and community activities, as well as informing local people about the decisions that affect them.

The future agenda for the development sub-committee includes considering the different types of community and neighbourhood plans which could develop this activity even further.

DIARY dates: The next two neighbourhood police beat surgeries takes place at Wessex Christian Fellowship Church, in Wessex Close, Kings Furlong, from 7pm to 8pm on Thursday, April 17, and Thursday, May 15.

Issues and feedback from residents at these meetings help set the agendas for police neighbourhood panel meetings, which influence local policing priorities.
