GREAT music: This Saturday, The Baker Boys will give the village hall a bit of jazz and swing. Doors open at 7.30pm, but I hear that it has sold out! If you are desperate for a ticket, contact Angie, on 475848, in the hope of a return or two.

3CG’s AGM: Takes place at the village hall on Tuesday, April 1 from 7.15pm. There is a bar, a raffle and a free buffet, and Ashley Smith, from the Hawk Conservancy, will be giving a talk entitled “It shouldn’t happen to a Falconer”.

DON’T forget: To get your entries in for the Horticultural Society’s Spring Show. Schedule and details from Marilyn on willow.ms@ btinternet.com. Entries must be submitted by Wednesday.

CONGRATULATIONS: To Cliddesden Primary School on coming fourth in the Basingstoke Schools’ Netball Tournament, despite being one of the smallest of the 45 eligible schools. This would not have been achievable without the excellent coaching from Sian Banks. The tournament is for Year 5 and 6 children. Well done, children, and thank you, Mrs Banks.
