NWR: Met on Thursday evening, when the subject was “The Good, The Bad and The Ugly”.

Gill says: “There was some lively and varied discussion including serious issues of murder and cyber bullying as well as more trivial aspects i.e. the ugliness of feet.

“Sadly, we have lost one of our long-standing members, Johnne Abrams, who passed away the same evening as our meeting.

“A founder member of Sherfield NWR, we shall miss Johnne’s intellectual approach to our meetings. Our thoughts are with her family.”

QUIZ Night. The village hall was packed on Saturday evening for the Fun Quiz.

The quiz master was Pete Cook, who did a brilliant job running the evening.

The winners were The Puzzle Monkeys, runners-up were Quiz Team Aguilera and in third place were The Men They Couldn’t Tame.

Alan Ball thanked Pete Cook for a great evening and my team, The No It Awls, came in a respectable joint sixth.
