ROMAN talk: The hall was packed to capacity and the balcony also used for listeners to Professor Fulford’s talk on the findings from the 2013 dig. Photographs of the Insula IX site at the moment give new meaning to the idea of Roman baths. The amphitheatre also is badly flooded.

METHODIST Church: Advance notice of a pancake evening on March 4 from 6pm to 8.30pm. Join us for fun, food and fellowship.

VILLAGE Market: Is taking place on Saturday, March 1, from 10am to noon. The usual stalls and lots of fresh foods and many crafts.

POST Office: The reopening of the Post Office counter has been well supported at Jay’s Stores in Pamber Heath. We have missed the service while alterations have been progressing. New opening hours start at 5am.
