BCoT events: Our local Basingstoke College of Technology has two events coming up on March 29.
From 10am to 3.30pm, there’s an Art and Design Taster Day, aimed at those interested in courses not just in art and design but also photography, textiles, fashion and clothing. Activities on offer will include pattern designs, 3D plastics, badge making, photograms, digital composition and typography. This is a free event, with lunch, but limited spaces – phone 306271 to book your place.
On the same day, from 10am to 1pm, budding BCoT computer scientists can learn about C++ programming, PC repairs and networks. To book limited spaces on this open morning, phone 306663.
CONSERVATION: Friends of Loddon Vale Parks, is extending wild plant areas in Victory Park on Sunday, March 9, at 2pm. Meet at the playground with gloves and trowels.
On Sunday, June 8, at 2pm, the same group will be weaving willow – meet at the same location but this time with scissors and string.
