“WE Will Be Free”: The last theatre evening for this season is on Saturday, February 22, 7.30pm, at Pamber Heath Village Hall.
A drama set in 1834 about the Tolpuddle Martyrs follows the extraordinary true story of George and Betsy Loveless – a Methodist preacher and the leader of the six Dorset farm labourers who were tried, convicted and transported for forming a union to fight against a succession of wage cuts inflicted on them by the local landowner.
This play by Towns End Productions promises to be great entertainment.
Although a dramatic story, it does have its lighter side and music from the times.
Tickets from Tony are £10, and ploughman’s suppers to order are £4.50. Call 0118 9700754.
JUMBLE sale: The next jumble sale will be on Saturday, March 15, at Pamber Heath Village Hall.

Offers of help in setting up, selling and cleaning up afterwards gratefully received. Contact 0118 9701633 for details.
