WAR Memorial damage: Alan Ball, chairman of the parish council, says: “Someone attempted, unsuccessfully, to remove the cross. It remains in place but has been damaged. The parish council will be getting quotes for its repair and we’ll have to foot the bill.”

NEIGHBOURHOOD Plan: The village hall was packed on Saturday morning for the drop-in session. John Darker, chairman, said: “We were very pleased with the turnout.

“The Working Group meets on the third Thursday of the month, and there is information in the Loddon Link and on the website.
