ROMAN talk: Professor Fulford will speak on February 14, in the village hall, with news of findings at the summer dig.

Tickets are £3 adults and children £1, and it’s 7.40pm for 8pm start.

This may be the last year of a “Silchester Dig”.

PANCAKE evening: Advance notice of a pancake evening taking place at the Methodist Church on March 4, from 6pm to 8.30pm.

Why not come along and join us for fun, food and fellowship?

PLANTING of bulbs: The Brownies have planted 100 “Tenby daffodil” bulbs near the hall in preparation for their centenary this year. These will join the Millennium planting so should be a good show. Places are still available. Ring Kirstie on 07725 705701 if you would like to join.

VILLAGE hall donation: The building work is progressing well, but like all things these days it seems, more money is needed.

Any donation, great or small, will be very welcome for those special finishing touches.
