FRIENDS of Loddon Vale Parks AGM: Our local conservation group, Friends of Loddon Vale Parks, has its AGM at 2pm today in Brookvale Village Hall.

All local residents are welcome to go along, view and make plans for our local green spaces.

The group’s next planned activity is pruning shrubs in Victory Park from 2pm on Sunday, February 9.

Why not go along – only pruners and gloves required.

FOOD for thought: The restaurant at our local college, BCoT, run by the college’s hospitality and catering students, is open to the public for lunch on Thursdays and Fridays, and dinner on Wednesdays and Thursdays. Call 01256 306306 for bookings.

BASINGSTOKE Civil Service Retirement Fellowship: The fellowship, which meets on the first Wednesday of each month, at Brookvale Village Hall, has trips to Newbury and Welford Park on Thursday, February 27, and Cheltenham on Tuesday, March 25.

For further details about the group and its meetings, which are open to all retired civil servants and their partners, contact the secretary, Tony Brazier, on 01256 418770.
