BURNS Night celebration: Reel ’em in this evening in the village hall, as the local clans gather to celebrate Burns Night!

There will be plenty of wine, music, Scottish dancing and a three-course meal, including a taste of the famous haggis, having been suitably addressed in time-honoured fashion and piped in by a live piper who played at the Olympic Games.

There may still be a few places left at £30, so shake off those post-Christmas blues and call Edith Patch, at White House Farm, on 763700.

TO be or not to be?: That is the question hovering over our sports pavilion up at the playing fields. The iconic cricket hut is in danger of falling down, and has been deemed uneconomical to preserve in its present state.

There are several options being considered, all of which include demolition, but what, if anything, should be built in its place is open for debate and the parish council needs your views!

Please pass on any ideas or comments you may have to parish clerk Karyn Reid on clerk@rotherwick.com
