WELL done: To everyone who organised and supported the Oakley Village Christmas Market. More than £400 was raised for the St Sebastian’s Trust. Due to the popularity, plans are already underway for next Christmas with improvements planned to help with the traffic congestion.

WILDLIFE walk: The Hampshire and Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust is holding a Winter Wildlife Walk to Oakley on Friday, January 24. From 10.30am to 1pm. The walk will cover roughly five-miles through the varied countryside around Kempshott and Oakley. A donation of £2 is suggested, and dogs on leads are welcome. MOBILE Library: There are two visits of the mobile library next week. The first is on Monday, from 2pm to 4pm, in Kennet Way, and the second is on Wednesday, to Petersfield, from 11.40am to 12.20pm.
