CHRISTMAS tree recycling: Is available at three local sites until Sunday, January 26 – War Memorial Park (Crossborough Hill car park), Eastrop Park (boat house car park) and Homebase (Winchester Road).
Once collected, the trees are chipped and used by the borough council as mulch for local flowerbeds.
BASINGSTOKE and Deane Borough Council: Is supporting communities like our own affected by recent housing growth with its just announced Local Infrastructure Fund.
This initiative is aimed at one-off capital projects over £25,000 and is financed by government New Homes Bonus money. Further details at basingstoke.gov.uk/browse/ community-and-living/grants/ local infrastructure.htm.
POLICE Neighbourhood Surgery: Next takes place at Wessex Christian Fellowship, in Wessex Close, on Thursday, January 23, from 7pm to 8pm.
It’s a chance to meet our local safer neighbourhood team, get information on crime prevention and agree priorities for local policing.
