CHRISTMAS tree recycling: Real Christmas trees can be recycled for compost. Nearby collection points include the community centre, Homebase, and the garden centre at North Waltham.
WEDDING fair: The community centre is hosting a wedding fair this Sunday.
Exhibitors will include photographers, cake makers, stationery, flowers and wedding planners, and all brides-to-be will receive a free goodie bag.
WHAT Wine Quiz: The always popular What Wine Quiz takes place at the community centre on Saturday, February 1. Tickets cost £14 each, which includes the quiz, wine and a cheese platter. Teams of six or eight may enter. To book tickets or for more details, call 01256 811262.
HATCH Warren WI: The ladies of the WI return tonight for the start of their 2014 programme of events. They will be at the community centre from 8pm, for an evening of health and beauty fitness – very appropriate for everyone with new year resolutions. New members and visitors are always welcome.
