HANDICRAFT schedule: Has now been decided – any quilted or patchwork article, an article of embroidery, cross stitch or tapestry, a sewn or knitted toy, something new from something old, an item or set of jewellery and an article of handicraft in hard material e.g. cane wood, metal or pottery. So time to get working on your entries.

CAROLS on Sunday: The service at St James’ will be held at 6pm.

FLORAL Society: Bramley Village Hall was packed for the Bramley and Romans Floral Society party on December 7. Graham King’s demonstration was his usual style with lots of natural greenery. The flowers were colourful gerberas and many varied coloured roses. The arrangements went to lucky raffle winners. The gourmet buffet supper followed. There’s no meeting in January.

PARISH Council: Met on December 16. Sarah Smart, the clerk and proper officer, is to take up a new job. As Sarah moves on, there is a vacancy for this post, and if you are interested, contact Sarah or the chairman Chris Holland.
