CHRISTMAS Church Services: On Christmas Eve, St Andrew’s Methodist Church, in Western Way, is holding an hour of fun and crafts, from 10am-11am, followed by a Communion Service at 11.30pm. The Christmas Day service will be held at 10am.
St Peter’s Church, in Pinkerton Road, is holding a Christingle Service on Christmas Eve at 5.15pm, and Midnight Mass at 11.30pm. The Christmas Day service is at 10am.
St Joseph’s Church, in St Michael’s Road, is having a Children’s Nativity Mass on Christmas Eve at 5pm and Mass at 10.30pm. The Christmas Day Mass is at 9am and 11am.
THORNYCROFT Bowls Club: At the top green at Russell Howard Park, will be running its 2014 season registration from 10am on January 12. A warm welcome awaits established bowlers and those who wish to try the sport for the first time.
