Here in Brookvale, the Friends of Loddon Vale Parks will be naturalising bulbs, meeting at the playground, in Victory Park, at 2pm this coming Sunday.
Volunteers should bring gloves and trowels and check out any changes due to weather by looking up “Brookvale Heart of Basingstoke” on Facebook the night before or telephoning 07807 552669.
Next month sees the group tie in the willow, meeting at the same location, at 2pm on Sunday, November 10.
DROP-IN activity sessions: Half-term is almost upon us and, on Tuesday, there are free drop-in Easy Origami activity sessions at The Willis Museum, from 10am to noon and 1pm to 3pm.
Also linked in with the “Japanese Treasures” exhibition is a self-led “Have a Go Haiku” (short Japanese poems) activity.
This is free to take part in any time during normal opening hours between October 26 and November 2.
