HALF-TERM looms: A confused wail of “Where has the time gone?” rings out over the hills and dales from the mothers of Cliddesden and the surrounding area. Luckily, Hallowe’en falls in half-term, so that’s one day sorted.
As well as the usual beautifully organised trick or treating, you can take your little lovelies to a spooky feast at the Jolly Farmer, complete with fancy dress, and take your own carved pumpkin. Move fast – it’s getting booked up!
SPEAKING of the Jolly Farmer: Thank you to all who turned up for the Pop-Up Food Shop on Saturday. The next one takes place on Saturday, November 9.
ST LEONARD’S Grand Autumn Sale and Table Quiz: This Saturday, at the village hall from 7pm. Tickets £10 adults, £5 under-16s, from Monica 351204, Pat 461034, Bob 326817 or Ben 327859.
CRAFT Fair: November 16, at the village hall. Contact Tracy North for details and tables on 07900 692858.
TIME out: There’s no Zumba in half-term week, October 28 to November 1.
