PALM Sunday Walk and Service to the Amphitheatre on Sunday: Sad to say that for only the second time in 29 years, we are unable to use the amphitheatre due to the large areas of mud and small ‘duck ponds’ at the site.
These are a definite safety hazard to all.
The walk will still take place and the service will then be in the church at 11am. Extra parking will be signposted near to the church.
VILLAGE Hall on Palm Sunday: After the service, why not come along to the village hall from 1pm to 2.30pm? There will be an Easter Egg Hunt, £3, Easter Bonnet Parade, £2, and a ‘Jesus Garden’ Competition, £2, or £10 for two children. Tea and coffee available.
PARISH council: Meets on Monday, at 7.30pm. Villagers welcome, and there is always a small time for matters to be raised from the floor of the hall.
ADVANCE Notices: Village market on Saturday, April 6; Silchester Association AGM on April 12, at 7.30pm; and The Reptiles perform in the hall at 7.30pm on April 27.
