IT’S a fair cop: Congratulations to David Glasenbury, of Wedmans Lane, who was awarded an MBE in the New Year’s Honours List for ‘Services to Police Training’.
He has been the specialist in physical education at Bramshill Police College for more than 20 years – a position he only took up when he retired!
A former England swimmer, David wrote the strategy for the Basingstoke Swimming Club, helped to launch the London Marathon and is still very involved with Health Awareness programmes all over the world. Well done indeed, sir!
YOU say good-bye, I say hello! A thousand thanks to the retiring editor of the Rotherwick News, Nicky Howells, who for nearly six years has been keeping us informed of news ‘n’ views in the village.
She was only the fourth editor in the 26-year history of the RN, and we now welcome the fifth – Sarah Moore.
Sarah and her family arrived at Church Cottage last June to great celebrations – Jubilee, Olympics and school tri-centenary!
We wish Sarah and her team all the best for the future.
