LADIES of Chineham WI: Started the year with an evening of line dancing. The music and instruction was provided by Booted Out and enjoyed with enthusiasm.

There is a busy and varied timetable for 2013 with the addition of a monthly Scrabble club and the formation of a gardening group.

Pop in for a taster session on the fourth Monday of each month, at 7.30pm, at Christ Church, or telephone Gill Dixon 320611 or email Ggillflowerpower@hotmail.com. The mayoress is expected to visit the February meeting.

CHINEHAM Library: Was due to close this week for redecoration as it is in need of repainting and installation of upgraded lighting. It will, however, now be closed from Monday, February 25 until Monday, April 1.

During this closure period, customers are encouraged to visit Basingstoke Discovery Centre.

DON’T forget: This Saturday, Christ Church will be hosting a quiz night.

DEADLINE: For returning nomination forms for joining Chineham Village Hall and recreation ground management committee is on Monday.
