SECURITY alert: Extra vigilance required again, as there have been recent house burglaries in our area.
LENT Courses: Old Basing ecumenical course commences on Tuesday, and continues for the following four Tuesdays, at the Methodist Chapel, in The Street, from 7.30pm. All denominations are invited to attend to consider the new York Course “Glimpses of God – Hope for Today’s World”.
At St Mary’s, Thursday is the designated evening for their six-session course until March 21, on the Archbishop of Canterbury’s Lent book “Abiding” by Ben Quash; also at 7.30pm and not Wednesday, as stated last week.
WOMEN’S World Day of Prayer: At St Mary’s on March 1, at 10.30am.
AGE Concern’s next Roadshow: Meets in the Parish Room on February 25, from 2pm to 4pm, and monthly after this.
“STOCKBROKERS Belt”: Come and shake your booty at the 33rd anniversary barn dance with the Wine and Beer Circle on February 23 in the village hall. Tickets £8, from 329792 or 478373.
