HORTICULTURAL Society: Last Thursday’s talk by Farleigh’s Andrew Woolley, outlining his involvement leading the Ashe Park Gardens Project was well attended. Whilst excellent photographs gave a good insight into the challenges, the progress can be experienced first-hand when the gardens open to visitors in the summer, the club hopes to arrange a visit.
LADIES Club members lunch despite the snow! I understand 25 ladies bravely assembled to enjoy the cookery demonstration and lunch in the village hall on Saturday, January 19. They were not to be deterred so out came the wellies and lifts arranged by those with 4 x 4’s. Thanks to Sarah and Jayne who produced a fabulous three-course lunch that was enjoyed by all.
THANKS: I would like to thank Natasha so much for keeping both my yoga classes and this column going in my absence. It’s good to be back and please let me know what is newsworthy in our villages.
