ROMAN Dig Talk: Takes place today, at 7.30pm, in the village hall, when Professor Michael Fulford will speak on the Roman dig findings. Pay £3 on the door, children £1.
SHROVE Tuesday: Next Tuesday, there will be a Pancake Evening, starting at 6pm, at Silchester Methodist Church Hall.
SILCHESTER Association Quiz Night: Takes place on March 1. Entry £5. Bring your own drinks and nibbles.
HEDGING and ditching: Is taking place at the Mission Church. Not a big job and not too long, with a few helping hands. We shall start at 9.30am. Do come along with tools and give a hand.
WOMEN’S World Day of Prayer: Will be held on Friday, March 1, at 2pm, in the United Reformed Church in Tadley.
SPEED Watch in Silchester: Moves forward and vehicles will soon be monitored and the police advised of speeders. Watch out that it is not you! We have far too many people who do not check their speeds around the village.
