A BRAW brich moonlicht nicht: Will hopefully be the case this Saturday, when the third annual parish Burns’ Supper will kickoff in the village hall at 7.30pm, to the skirl of the bagpipes courtesy of Olympic piper Colin Malam.
He will also pipe in the haggis, which will be addressed in the traditional way by our own Jonathan Glen (although poached Scottish salmon will be available for veggies!).
Fully-instructed Scottish dancing will follow the meal as a great way to keep warm on a chilly night, even if you just clap along.
There may still be tickets left at £15 each (£10 for children) if you ring Margaret Gray on 334177, Sandra Pickworth on 762240 or Martin Rudd on 764677. All proceeds to church funds.
GONE fishing: Seems too early to think about it, but if you’ve got the fishing bug, season rods are now available on the Hook to Dipley stretch of the River Whitewater, just the thing for fresh trout this spring!
