JUMBLE Sale: This Saturday, Oakley Guides and Brownies are holding a jumble sale at the Green Hut from 2pm. There will also be a tombola and raffle. Any donations of sale items would be gratefully received at the hut on the morning of the sale from 10am.
MOBILE Library: The next visit of the library is to Kennet Way on Monday, from 10.45am to 1pm.
OAKLEY Act of Remembrance: This year’s Remembrance Service will take place on Sunday, November 11, at St John’s Garden of Remembrance, starting at 10.30am.
The Reverend Jeremy Vaughan will lead the service and he will rededicate the War Memorial. Wreaths will also be laid.
Afterwards, refreshments will be served in St John’s Hall.
LOCAL talent: Jolly Olly’s have a small range of products for sale by local artists, including some Christmas cards made by a 92-year-old local lady with all her profits being donated to charity.
