HOLLY Market: Seasonal Sales returned to the village hall for their popular Holly Market on Saturday, and the hall was bursting with stalls and products.
There was also a tombola with proceeds to the Poppy Appeal.
LODDON Players: Tickets are now on sale for “Joking Apart” by Alan Ayckbourn which will be performed by the Loddon Players in the village hall from November 29 to December 1.
Tickets are £9 (concessions £5) on Thursday, and £14 (to include fish and chips supper) on Friday and Saturday. Doors open at 6.45pm and the play begins at 7.30pm. Call Sally on 01256 880224, or book at loddonplayersatsherfield.co.uk.
GARDENING Club: Paulo Arrigo was guest speaker at the October meeting. About 30 members enjoyed the evening.
Paulo, who was accompanied by his mother, gave an interesting talk on how to preserve produce grown by us earlier in the year. He acknowledged what a difficult year it had been for growers. Next meeting is on Monday, November 19.
