BONFIRE Night: Saturday, November 10, at Silchester House. Fast track entry tickets bought by November 9, from Jay and Sharon. Adults, £5; children, £2; family two adults plus two children, £12.
VILLAGE Market: This Saturday, from 10am to noon.
OPEN Day at Silchester School: November 14, for children starting September 2013. Let the school know if you are coming.
DATES for your diary: December 1 – Silchester Children’s Christmas Party – names in to Simon and Jenny on the form in the magazine by November 16. Also, Christmas Dance on December 8, with live band “Generators”.
SERVICE of Memory: In church on Sunday, at 10am. No Communion at this service.
PHOENIX Club: On Wednesday, at 2pm, in the Club Room. The club sends best wishes to Freda Pearmine, who will be 100 on November 5.
REMEMBRANCE Day: Our church service will start at 9.30am, to be in good time at the War Memorial for service and wreath laying at 11am.
