LIFEBOAT appeal: Mortimer and District branch will hold a Christmas Fair on November 17, from 9.30am to 3pm, in St John’s Hall, Mortimer, and request items for sale.

Seasonal food, decorations, costume jewellery, children’s toys, DVDs and CDs are welcome.

RNLI Christmas cards, calendars and souvenirs will be on sale. Contact 01256 881182.

HALLOWE’EN at The Vyne: On Saturday and Sunday, there will be Spooky Cinema in the Cellars.

Call 01256 883858 for times and booking. Hallowe’en continues on Wednesday with Trick and Treat Trails from 11am to 5pm.

ST MICHAEL’S Hospice: Bramley has become notable as a good community fundraiser for St Michael’s.

Already in 2012, our house-to-house collection well exceeded 2011’s total, and Becky’s Tea at Three final figure was well over £700.

Sandra and Nigel made £2,000 on that wonderful tandem ride. Plus, of course, your lottery and salary giving. Well done Bramley.

Now the hospice could do with an hour of your time to help with collections in stores and in Festival Place, Basingstoke.
