Hants and Berks Motor Club provides a focus for motoring enthusiasts in the area. Throughout the year we offer a wide range of activities; monthly meetings covering a variety of motoring interests: navigational rallies, classic car tours, visits to interesting car collections, etc.
Club meetings are usually held on the last Thursday evening of the month, at The Raven Hotel, Station Road, Hook, RG27 9HS (OS Map Reference 186/725540) where a very nice room has been made available to us. During the summer months meetings may be held elsewhere. We welcome new, or prospective, members to any of our meetings. The Raven can offer car parking, a bar and restaurant. On Thursday, September 27, there is a motoring quiz being held at The Raven, starting at 8pm.
Sunday, October 7, is the Autumn Classic Car Run. The event will start at California Country Park, near Wokingham, the first car leaving at 9am. The 76-mile route will take participants through scenic villages in Hampshire to Fort Nelson at Portsdown (near Portsmouth.) Participants will be allowed to park inside the fort. On Thursday, October 25, is the inter club skittles match at The Golden Pot. The cost is £10 per head, which includes a hot supper. Contact Pam Roper on 0118 9787684.
Club members frequently act as marshals on international and national stages rallies, some as near as Aldershot, others on the south coast or in Wales. Specialist training (free) is provided by the MSA. Contact Bill Bonney on 0118 969 7591.
