HOLLY: The annual Holly Market took place in Sherfield Village Hall last Saturday, and was well attended with a record number of visitors (450) coming to browse the stalls despite the drizzly day.

Cat says: “This year saw lots of lovely goodies for sale at over 45 stalls inside and outside. The atmosphere was lively and fun with shoppers laden. We’re sure lots of Christmas lists have been ticked off already!”

FIREWORKS: Bonfire Night Party at the White Hart. Fireworks start at 8pm, and live music from 8.30pm, with No Way Out, a four-piece band playing tracks from the end of the 1970s to today. Enjoy an evening of fireworks, fun and food on Friday, November 6.

PANTOMIMES is the theme of this year’s Christmas Tree Festival to be held at St Leonard’s Church from November 27 to 29. There will be viewing of the trees, a “view the trees tower tour”, Christmas market, tombola and children’s choirs. Entry by donation to all events.
