SILCHESTER Players had full houses for their four performances of Silhouette and the audience enjoyed a good show with lots of laughter.
FIREWORKS at Silchester House on Saturday, November 7, gates open 6pm. Get your advance tickets from The Calleva and Jay’s Stores, cheaper than on the night and no queueing! Adult £7, children £3.50, family (four) £18. There’s also a pumpkin competition with judging at 6.30pm.
Fire will be lit at 7pm, and fireworks start at 7.30pm.
POP up café on the common every Friday this month from 10am to 4.30pm.
SERVICE of Memory in the Parish Church on Sunday, at 3pm, with special reading and prayers. If you have lost a loved one and would like to join in this special service, just come along for a quiet time of memories.
RESIDENT priest Rev Canon Ken Batt leaves the church and the village on his final retirement. His last service in church will be November 1.
