NO SUCH thing as a free lunch? Not this Sunday - exclusive to Rotherwick residents!
Come and get it for free, at the village hall, from 12.30pm, at the one-and-only Rotherwick Village Barbecue/Picnic!
Sausages, burgers, rolls, and soft drinks will all be provided courtesy of your friendly parish council.
You should take your own salads, wine, beer, glasses, umbrellas, gazebos and rugs etc.
The hall will be open for toilets.
Games will be organised to occupy the children and, while passports will not be checked, outlanders from beyond the village are requested to donate £5 per head, so if you have any house guests do bring them along.
WE ARE the Champions... So sang Chris Instone and Barbara Platt as they triumphed over gallant challengers (and mum!) Joan Instone and Charles James in a thrilling tie-break final of the annual Rotherwick tennis tournament.
And, if that wasn't enough pressure, Barbara hosted the whole club back at her house for the celebration barbecue!
Many thanks to head chef John, and everyone who contributed to a lovely evening. Well done to everyone who took part.
AN INSPECTOR Calls... Many will have seen the location trucks, lorries and catering vans parked along The Street last week as Midsomer Murders came to Rotherwick!
Bentley Productions has booked the white house next to the church (and no mystery who lives there!).
