CREAM teas in the Methodist Hall, or in the garden if fine, started on the first Sunday in June and continues through July, from 3pm to 5.30pm.

EBENEZER’S 10th birthday on Saturday, 30 June from 11.30am until 4.30pm with coffee,

teas, luncheon. There will be music in the garden with Hannington Band. It is sure to be a super day.

SILCHESTER Fete –the weather was quite cool and breezy but the crowds still came, over 1,000 during the fete in the three hours it was open. So many stalls and things to see (and join in) in the arena. Wood smoke across the playing field, and the delightful smell of cooking. I do not have results as yet but I think it will be a bumper amount.

THE dog show had many entries and so many well turned out dogs came along!

SUMMER teas in our Parish Church, or outside if fine, start on Sunday, 1 July, with money raised going to charity. No charges but a nice donation is hoped for. Timings from 2pm to around 5pm.

OPEN garden at West Silchester Hall on July 8.

ORGAN recital on Saturday, 21 July from 7.30pm by Nicholas Woods – our church organ is a Bates Pipe organ and it is very surprising how different organists can make this organ “talk”. Retiring collection for the Organ Fund.
