END of an era: For over half a century, the Jones family have been tilling the fields around Rotherwick, but following the death of his wife Suzanne last June, and battling his own illhealth, Neil Jones found Rooks Farmhouse very lonesome.
After celebrating Christmas there with his children, Neil slipped away with the old year – he will be sorely missed.
The funeral has been arranged for next Friday, January 23, at 2pm in Rotherwick church, where he was a familiar figure at Evensong. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family at this most difficult time.
NEW vicar: The Reverend Marion de Quidt has been appointed priest-in-charge of the Whitewater Benefice. She will be licensed by Bishop David of Basingstoke at St John’s, Hook, on April 22, at 7.30pm.
DING dong merrily: Congratulations to the Rotherwick and Heckfield bell ringers who were invited to ring handbell carols by the Christmas tree last month at Tylney Hall Hotel.
