Business Backing Basingstoke is the latest initiative to be launched by Destination Basingstoke

A NEW scheme that seeks to put businesses on the map locally has been launched by Destination Basingstoke.
It is called Business Backing Basingstoke and involves a comprehensive local marketing and promotion package.
Felicity Edwards, managing director of the not-for-profit company, said: “For a one-off payment of £350 a year, we’ll provide a web-marketing package on our high-ranking website, as well as offer advertorials on our e-newsletters.
“Those signing up will be able to make use of the Business Backing Basingstoke brandings.
“We’re also offering a free place at the INSPIRE12 Business Awards, two free places at the Basingstoke Half Marathon and free PERK cards Felicity said the package offers great value.
“We have actually broken it all down and if we were to charge for all the individual elements, it would cost something like £750.
“Money is tight out there and it is often the marketing budget that is among the first to be cut.
“But it is really important that businesses continue to market themselves.”
