WHEN it comes to getting milk to a Basingstoke business park, Mervyn Smith really delivers.
Working as a franchisee for milk&more, Mervyn has been delivering between 500 and 600 pints of milk each week to Chineham Park for over 20 years. The business park is home to 60 companies, ranging from local enterprises through to international headquarters. Mervyn said: “I have seen Chineham Park grow into a very successful business park over the past two decades. The park feels like a community and I like to think that I help add to that every morning.”
To make sure the 3,500 people who work at Chineham Park have milk for their teas and coffees, Mervyn starts at 5.30am, ensuring all the milk is delivered in time before the working day starts for employees on the Park. Wendy Scott, customer manager at MEPC Chineham Park, said: “Our customers on the park appreciate Mervyn’s service and rely on him to get their newspapers as well as milk. “He’s part of our team, and a daily milk delivery is one of the necessities for a pleasant working environment.”
