SNOWS Basingstoke has signed up as the headline sponsor for The ARK Charity Golf Day.
The day is one of The ARK’s major fundraising events of the year, in which the Volvo dealership Snows Group plan to field a team of players as part of the sponsorship.
The tenth anniversary event is set to take place at Sandford Springs Golf Club, in Kingsclere on Wednesday, September 26.
Franchise director Neil McCue, based at Brunel Road, on the Houndmills Industrial Estate, said: “As a group, we support a number of local charities, and The Ark Medical Trust is renowned as a self-funding conference centre as well as providing invaluable support to the local community – providing a range of services such as bereavement counselling and self-help groups for cancer patients and their families.
“When we heard the charity was looking for a sponsor for its annual golf tournament, we were only too happy to oblige.”
Now in its tenth year and situated in the grounds of Basingstoke hospital, The ARK is a state-of-the-art independent medical education and conference facility. It is self-funded with profits being distributed for the benefit of medical education, training and research.
To help celebrate the tenth anniversary, Mr McCue said Snows and The ARK are putting two Volvo cars up for grabs for hole-in-one competitions – a brand new Volvo V40, Volvo’s latest edition to the range, and a Volvo XC90.
