ENERGY efficiency company Anesco has been named Best New Business at a national business awards.
Anesco, based at Easter Park, Aldermaston, works with home owners, local authorities and businesses looking to reduce their carbon emissions and won the accolade at the Best Business awards.
These highlight those companies that are creative, innovative and which bring something new to the market, and looks at the future potential of each business.
Delighted to receive the award, chief executive officer Adrian Pike said: “It’s testament to the efforts of the dedicated team we have at Anesco and our strong business model.”
Adrian said Anesco is on target to hit £100million turnover in 2014 as demand for its services continue to rise. The last financial year saw turnover hit £21m with pre-tax profits of close to £1m. Sustained growth over the last 18 months has also seen the company grow to a workforce of 80 permanent employees and up to 200 contrac-tors.
Andrew Areoff, chairman of the judges, said: “When it comes to emission of pollutants, innovation is what we need and this is what Anesco has come up with. With the UK required to cut emissions by 80 per cent by 2050, business is likely to heat up quickly.”
