ELECTRIC car users will have the opportunity to recharge their batteries when enjoying a stay at The Hampshire Court Hotel in Basingstoke.

The POLAR electric vehicle charging network has joined forces with QHotels to provide car owners with a place to recharge their vehicle while enjoying a visit at one of their hotels.

The QHotel group won the AA Eco Hotel Group of the Year award 2011-2012 and the partnership reflects the hotel's continued commitment to sustainability through green initiatives.

The POLAR network, operated by Chargemaster, is involved in the deployment of some 4,000 charging points across the UK.

QHotels director of property Philip King, said: “QHotels are delighted to be partnering with Chargemaster in this exciting roll out of electric vehicle charging points throughout the country, this fits very well with Q-Hotels culture of sustainability.”
