A NEW child care nursery business has got off to a flying start in Rooksdown.
Blossom Day Nursery, based at Rooksdown Community Centre, only opened at the beginning of January, but it is already looking after 28 children.
“We’re doing well for a new business,” said Tay Mason, who set up the nursery with Mel Mulley.
Delighted with the number of children that have come into their care in such a short time, the pair say that there is plenty of room for more as the nursery can cater for up to 50 children per session.
Impressed with the brand new community hall, Tay said: “It’s brilliant. It’s lovely and bright, nice and new and clean.”
She added: “One of the reasons we wanted to set up our own nursery was that we have both worked in child care for over 20 years and it has been our dream for a long time – we’ve been planning it for over five years.”
Tay said she and Mel place great stock in working in partnership with parents. “Children will be happier and settle, and then develop much quicker,” explained Tay.
