NEW services being offered by the AA are fuelling a national campaign to attract more than 200 new recruits.
The AA, which is the UK’s biggest motoring organisation and is headquartered in Basingstoke, has more than 200 vacancies for its roadside patrols and specialist technicians to support the expansion of its various Assist services.
The positions are for across the country, and include about 100 frontline patrols, with places expected to be filled in time for winter.
Steve Dewey, AA road operations director, said: “We constantly look to develop new services that help our members.
“Our innovative AA Fuel Assist service, which helps those who have misfuelled, has grown considerably over the last two years, and we have ambitious plans for our other Assist services.
“These include a new dedicated battery service that can supply and fit batteries to virtually any vehicle on the road, a specialist car key replacement service that can cut and programme a key and fob from scratch, and we are also investing heavily in our glass repair and replacement service, AA AutoWindshields.
“While we’re always on the lookout for people with the relevant skills and experience, we’d also welcome applications from people with the enthusiasm and customer driven attitude, as comprehensive training is provided.”
The AA is also on the lookout for seven bright and enthusiastic graduates for IT and marketing positions at its Fanum House headquarters in Basing View.
Human resources manager Kathy Bowman is on the lookout for new graduates with a good degree for positions with a starting salary of £22,000-a-year.
She said: “Many graduates will be enjoying a well-earned summer break.
“But when the time comes to consider their next move, we’d love to hear from those interested in a career in IT or marketing, if they have the right skills and enthusiasm.
“We’ll give them lots of relevant work experience, support and training and they will get the chance to really immerse themselves in one of the country’s most recognised and trusted brands.”
