STAFF and consultants at BMI The Hampshire Clinic have just celebrated the hospital’s 25th anniversary.

In 1984, the privately-owned hospital, which is part of BMI Healthcare, conducted minor opera tions. A quarter of a century on, its specialists now carry out some of the most pioneering and innovative procedures, including the most advanced kinds of keyhole surgery.

The Hampshire Clinic, in Old Basing, has also grown to include a state-of-the-art hydrotherapy and physiotherapy suite as well as a nationally recognised sports medicine facility.

This year will also see the installation of a new CT and MRI scanner in an overhaul of imag ing technology at the 65-bed hospi tal in Basing Road, Executive director Phillip O’Ehley said The Hampshire Clinic is proud to have served the local Basingstoke community for the last 25 years – supporting GPs and Basingstoke hospital in a wide range of medical needs.

He added that the hospital shares close links with business in the local area, employing people from the community, and is an active member of the North Hampshire Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

“Our consultants are internationally recognised and patients travel to the hospital to have treat ment from all over the world.
