A MARKETING firm has recommitted to a global initiative.

Adare International, based in Lily House, Priestley Road, has announced the renewal of its ongoing commitment to the United Nations Global Compact, the world’s largest corporate sustainability initiative.

Through the Global Compact initiative, the United Nations aims to mobilise a global movement of sustainable companies and stakeholders, to align their strategies and operations with the UN’s

global principals on human rights, labour, environment and anti-corruption.

To make this happen, the UN Global Compact supports companies to do business responsibly and take strategic actions to advance broader societal goals with an emphasis on collaboration and innovation.

Adare International is one of 9,678 companies in 161 countries worldwide which are committed to supporting the initiative.

Andrew Dutton, Adare International’s chief executive officer, said: “We’re delighted to reaffirm our support of United Nations Global Compact for 2018. Since 2016, the sustainable development goals set out in the initiative have formed a central part of our business model.

"As a global marketing services provider sourcing goods and services all over the world, we have a clear obligation to act responsibly with our customers and suppliers, especially in vulnerable markets.”

“We’re pleased to have met the challenging targets we set ourselves in 2017, which were designed to deliver Global Compact’s ten guiding principles on the ground. We now have some ambitious new targets for 2018 which we look forward to delivering as part of our continued commitment to this important global initiative.”
