A BASING View-based firm has been included in a rundown of the country’s top employers to work for.

Reassured, one of the UK’s largest direct life insurance brokers, has been recognised in The Sunday Times’ 2018 list of The 100 Best Companies to Work For, placing eighth in the mid-size category, which is defined as 250-3,000 employees.

The annual list seeks to recognise the UK’s top employers, with the rankings based on staff responses to a range of factors, from how they feel about their team, manager and company leadership to how happy they are with pay and benefits and the balance between work and home life.

This is the fourth year in a row that Reassured has been nominated to the list, placing 36th last year. It is the only insurance broker in the 2018 list to appear in the top 10.

Reassured was ranked number one for leadership and also scored well among its employees in the personal growth category, which asks to what extent staff feel they are challenged by their job, and my manager category, which asks how staff feel towards their immediate boss and day-to day managers, ranking fourth out of the 100 companies in both cases.

Steve Marshall, chief executive officer of Reassured, said: “Last year, we increased our staff numbers by more than 50%, moved from Alton to new headquarters in Basingstoke and opened regional offices in Portsmouth and Manchester, so we are incredibly proud to have improved our ranking on the Best Companies to Work For list against this backdrop of change.
