A FIRM which specialises in cashless car parking has expanded its Basingstoke ‘technical hub’ offices.

The Parkmobile Group, which operates international brands ParkNow, RingGo, and Parkmobile, has expanded its office space at Intec Business Park, in Wade Road.

The new 300 square metre space caters for the growth in staff headcount which has occurred recently at the office. Since the beginning of the year, 44 new hires have joined, a 47 per cent increase, most of whom have been recruited to support the organisation’s expanding technology division.

As well as new desk and office space, a purpose-built video conferencing room has been installed to ensure good communications across the Parkmobile Group, most notably with other main offices in Amsterdam, Munich and Versailles.

Dr Ulrich Vornefeld, head of parking for BMWi Mobility Services, performed the official opening of the new offices and cut the ceremonial ribbon.

Harry Clarke, chief commercial officer and founder of the original Basingstoke operation, said: “It’s great to be able to expand further in our local offices and bring even more highly skilled jobs to the area. Cashless parking is growing at a phenomenal rate and this latest investment by BMW shows their support for what our group is delivering.

“Over the past 12 months alone, we have seen UK RingGo parking sessions increase by more than a third to over 4 million sessions per month.

“Our Basingstoke office is the technical hub supporting this growth, and this latest expansion is a great testament to all that our staff are achieving here.”
