MANY workforces may come to a standstill tomorrow as staff try and catch England and Wales do battle at Euro 2016.

However, a Basingstoke workplace provider will enable employers to work closter to home and get back in time to catch the game.

Regus, based in Chineham Business Park, will be opening up their business lounge for free to allow the UK’s football mad workforce to work closer to home rather than struggling with the commute and potentially missing the unfolding drama at the Stade Bollaert-Delelis in Lens

Basingstoke workers can head to the business lounge on Chineham Business Park where they will find a modern, productive work environment equipped with high-speed connectivity, coffee and refreshments, and professional front-of-house staff.

Richard Morris, UK CEO, Regus said: “We know how much this match means to everybody and our network of business lounges puts us in a unique position to help. Our thinking is that, by working locally rather than commuting to the main office, people will be better placed to get to their favoured football-watching location in time for the 2pm kick-off.

“Of course, the match is in office-hours, so workers will still need to negotiate timings with their bosses. But we are seeing businesses think far more flexibly about working patterns, and we believe many will be willing to accommodate the football fever.”

The Regus business lounge is available for free on a first-come-first-served basis from 9am tomorrow.
