A POPULAR Basingstoke restaurant is set to close down next month and re-open as a different chain.
Spanish restaurant La Tasca has been purchased by the Casual Dining Group and will close on March 5 for a refurbishment.
It is set to re-open around a month later as Las Iguanas, which offers Latin American food and is one of six restaurant chains that are part of the Casual Dining Group.
Others include Cafe Rouge and Bella Italia.
Karen Lawrie, PA for the CEO of La Tasca, told The Gazette that no jobs would be lost as a result of the closure of La Tasca, in Festival Place.
She added: "The whole team are staying and it will be refurbished."
